Bhagwant Mann’s Mawan Dheeyan Yojana: Will the Next Payment Come on 1 October 2026?
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s Mukh Mantri Mawan Dheeyan Satkar Yojana has become an important financial-support scheme for women across Punjab. Under the scheme, eligible women receive monthly assistance directly into their bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.
₹1,000 or ₹1,500 Monthly Assistance
Under the scheme, eligible women from the general category receive ₹1,000 per month, while eligible women belonging to the Scheduled Caste category receive ₹1,500 per month. The Punjab government has allocated around ₹9,300 crore for the programme.
The government initially transferred three months’ assistance together. Reports said beneficiaries received ₹3,000 for three months in the general category and ₹4,500 for three months for SC beneficiaries.
What About the 1 October 2026 Payment?
Many beneficiaries are now waiting for the next payment around 1 October 2026, expecting the October instalment to be credited to their bank accounts.
However, as of September 4, 2026, there is no reliable official confirmation available that specifically guarantees that the next payment will be credited on exactly 1 October 2026.
Therefore, beneficiaries should be careful with social-media posts claiming that the government has officially fixed 1 October as the payment date.
The previous payment was transferred in August, and the government has continued expanding registrations and payments. On August 1, the government reported transferring assistance to 35.5 lakh women, while total registrations had reached 73.5 lakh.

New Applicants Can Also Receive Benefits
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has said that eligible women who complete registration later can still receive benefits from July 1, 2026, subject to eligibility and verification. This means late registration does not necessarily mean losing the earlier eligible instalments.
Check Your Bank Account
Beneficiaries should regularly check:
- Bank account balance and transaction history
- SMS alerts from their bank
- Whether their Aadhaar and bank details are correctly linked
- Their application/registration status
- Any official communication regarding payment
Some applicants have reported waiting for payments even after completing the application process, so registration alone should not automatically be treated as confirmation that money has been credited.
Important: Don’t Believe Every Viral Payment Date
The 1 October 2026 date should currently be treated as an expected or widely discussed date, not a confirmed government payment date, unless Punjab authorities officially announce it.
Beneficiaries should avoid clicking suspicious links or sharing OTPs, bank passwords, ATM PINs or other confidential information with anyone claiming to release the Mawan Dheeyan payment.
Conclusion
The Mukh Mantri Mawan Dheeyan Satkar Yojana provides ₹1,000 per month to eligible women and ₹1,500 per month to eligible SC women. The scheme has already begun making DBT payments, and more beneficiaries are being added.
The next instalment is eagerly awaited, but an exact payment date of 1 October 2026 has not been reliably confirmed as of September 4, 2026. Beneficiaries should wait for an official announcement rather than relying on viral social-media claims.
